The FCC is considering acting on their current laws to remove noise on the
AM band. There is an article about this. The link is posted on the
AM-DX.COM site.

If that actually happens, it will at least stop the increase of electrical
noise that degrades DXing. I certain

At first, I was puzzled as to what you meant by "plastic frame", but now
looking at an online photo of the back of the Quantum Loop V2.0, I see what you
mean. The frame is identical to the one on the Quantum QX loop that I used to
own. However, the QX Pro that I currently own is not a standa

I agree that those connecters are a pain. If you have a non-metallic tuning rod
used for tuning RF circuits where a metallic blade would cause problems, try
using that instead of a screwdriver to pry it off.

I don't let my 9V battery snap into the connector on the QX. I just snap it
into the plastic frame and it is held tightly against the battery terminals.
Works fine. There is minimal current flow.

Well, I've gone and done it again. For the second time in recent months, while
changing the 9-volt battery that powers my Quantum QX Pro loop antenna, I've
managed to break the clasp (the one that snaps onto the top of a 9-volt
battery) apart from the negative wire that goes into the back of
