Hello All,
What sounded like a very promising band around 1310 hit the skids here around
1330, with Asian propagation seeming to take a swoon just before the usual peak
sunrise enhancement time. Early on (around 1315) there were many potent signals
from the big guns on 594, 747, 774,
Gary, thanks to Nick's DX Fishbarrel which still showed 774 at pretty nice
levels, I tuned them in only to be still hearing their sign-off routine!
Heard about equal on both my north and west corner fed loops. This is at
8:42 AM local, well over 90 minutes past our local dawn! 15:42 UTC.
Walt,
Thanks for the additional information on your reception of 774-JOUB's sign-off
routine at 1542 UTC.
My own listening session wrapped up here at 1410 UTC, so I had no chance to
listen for a late-session signal rally. It certainly seemed like the Asians
went into a deep freeze here
Wow, I missed that Walt, I'm glad I left the DXFishbarrel running on
the North Flag, just for you apparently. I thought it was a big
event to hear JOHR-1287 at 1500UT (first audio at home at 1500UT this
season), but in fact, Gary's observations were right on the
money. Things looked pretty

and of course, there was JOHR at 1500UT this morning, eclipsed by

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

We certainly have a long list of things to be thankful for, but here
in southern Alberta TP signals were not on the list for today. Unlike
the coast, nothing at all in terms of TP audio. A few carriers on the
regular channels but that was it. Very weak DU audio noted on 702 and

It was another slightly below average morning here. Very little from
China, but the usual Korean and Japanese signals were there.
As others have noted, signals dropped off just before 1400.
