It wasn't a good morning for hearing TP DX here. Looking at the K-index I'm
surprised I heard anything. A large sunspot is facing now earth and will most
likely affect DX for a few days.
594 JOAK(?), barely audible trace of audio at 1242-1243.

Richard heard more than I did this morning, perhaps as he's further

certain it was Japan and not Australia. I'm sure the strong carrier

And that's who it turned out to be. Finally got an ID from them at 7 minutes
before Midnight CLT as Your hometown station, 1090 WTNK. Along with the new
loggings of KILR-1070 Estherville, IA and CIAO-530 Brampton, ON, yesterday
afternoon and evening were decently productive.

Listened from 1354 to 1450 utc. As Richard mentioned in his report the K index
was up (4) and this sure affected the Radio Rossii stations. Only 279 was heard
late this morning. MW conditions were down, but really improved towards sunrise
enhancement.

Hello All,
Asian signals here this morning were certainly not impressive, but the results
were more like Dennis' version than those of Richard and Nigel. Once again the
session started off in a fairly promising state around 1315 (in total darkness)
with good audio from the NHK and Korean

What's interesting is from Toronto - across the lake from Buffalo - it's been
slightly but noticeably easier to null than usual. Had Huntington WV here with
ease...

Hello folks,
I've got a Mckay Dymek AM5 tuner that may be of interest to some
members. I have offered this up before, but no takers. It works well,
but has some minor cosmetic issues. I'd rather see this go to someone
here rather than EBAY, however the cost of shipping to the US is

On 1550 last week heard La Jefa.
This is WDLR OH. It's now La Jefa.
Don't think I've seen this reported.

Actually, Saul, I think they went back to Spanish (after a brief stint relaying
the True Oldies Channel) about two months ago. Or perhaps before that, I'm not
sure now. They stick out like a sore thumb here, and they get in the way of me
being able to hear CBEF.

Nothing very special today, yet earlier, 774 and 828 both came in
well...there just wasn't much else, and it mostly got worse as time went on.

I've finished reviewing the Perseus files for the 2nd night at Rockworks

Conditions were subdued compared to the previous excellent morning; signals
were generally weaker and the splatter was stronger. The upper band was
mostly dead. I did log the lone DU station--1548
Good evening,
