This morning I seemed to have been on a better planet than Bruce
wasmore like the coastal version of what Nigel was describing,
right down to the plethora of carriers. There must have been more
splatter today, as there were quite a lot of strong carriers
not...quite...delivering audio. P
A much livelier morning than I've had for a while this morning.
Unfortunately it was a "sleeping in" morning, so although I caught the
sunrise, I missed what might have been happening earlier. As soon as I
flicked on the receiver at 1455 it was evident I should have been up a
bit sooner,

Lower latitudes did the best with Mauritania 783 really loud followed

Is NYC 1600 (a) running Spanish and (b) IDing as 810 WSYW Beech
Grove-Indianapolis. Strange question, yes, but strange daytime reception.

TP conditions today were similar to yesterday. There was a mild
enhancement just after sunrise, which lifted a few signals out of the
mud for a few minutes. Most of them were weak and unintelligible, but
1332 was coming in well for a while. Otherwise, it was a rather routine
morning here.
If this gets to you in timequite a good opening on MW to Asia

For those interested, a new one-minute MP3 of 1593-CNR1's huge signal during
peak propagation yesterday at 1531 here in Puyallup is available at the
following link. This was the strongest MW signal ever received from China here
in 7 years of TP-DXing, and was also noticed by Dennis in Kalama, W
