Great Tim.
Please post your documentary of WJDI.
I'd be very interested to see what you have in your archives and memories.
It is quite a story!

Listened from 1520-1550 utc. A late short lesson this morning. Conditions down
from yesterday. Station heard under VOA 1575 with female speaker. Only two long
channels with audio. Again no NHK2 powerhouse stations heard. Yesterday's top
dog JORF 1422 was a no show this morning.

Amazingly at times from here in IL on western antennas I can say the same thing
about 1330. However, KGLO and WLOL are common as well.

Hello All,
Asian results here this morning seemed similar to Dennis' report, with a few
variations. Unlike recent mornings the low band had some audio from Asian
mainland TP's, and was at least as good as the high band here.
My session started off at 1425, when both 594-JOAK and

Presumed WEPN ESPN Deportes Radio noted on 2100 kHz with Spanish
sports talk. I'm assuming this is WEPN as I see no other Spanish ESPN

KNLV NE or WQMV TN? y hunch is the latter as I've caught them on at night

KNLV would be easy to id.. They aren't strictly oldies , there's some 70s
and 80s in there... Plus their jingles are ones that would kinda stand out
and they Id as Memories 1060

Thanks Derek,
Your comment on the MP3's is appreciated.
If you ever want to return to Kent, I'll be the first to welcome you back :-)
The domestic splatter here now isn't much better than in the Bay Area, though.
Without 1 kHz DSP or a $50 upgrade IF filter, Ultralight radios get plastered
After yesterday's DX feast, I was forced to go on a TP diet today in
order to make up for it. The SDR recordings captured only a couple of
Asians, and they were rather weak.
