Once again not enough time to do the morning justice. Lively from
1200UT onwards, peaking 1330ish, mainly low band. Some thunderous
signals from NHK2 on 747 and 774 today, and lots of near audios,
stragglers lasting past 1400UT
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native s

Mark,
What desert, Utah? There are storms over Kansas, parts of Oklahoma, Nebraska.
It`s certainly noisy here in Enid. Also somewhat auroral with XE instead of
WGN, etc. Very auroral/disturbed on SW.

To see where the lightning static is from - this is the best map I've found
for this... can be very precise if you zoom in...

I'd have to agree that the 50th Anniversary edition of the
convention was definitely one of the best, and John & Nancy did a super
job of putting it together.Perhaps Pat is being a bit modest though,
as I'd have to say that of the conventions I've been to, the 2006

Things were at least closer to what was seen on the coast today,
with some good signals from Japan. JOAB and JOBB were at their best
levels of the season. In general the lower band was better, but the
odd signal on the upper band also came through.

What I did note Mark that the east coast was unaffected by the enhanced
storm. And the southwest and west were quite dampened with the north coming
in fairly well after 10pm central

Today's TP DX was very similar to yesterday's. The low end of the dial
was quite lively with Korean and Japanese signals. 981 was quite good
but it was the only decent Chinese signal. The 711 carrier "almost"
produced audio, as did a carrier on 792.
The upper half of the dial was downright
Rarely heard here with FF talk. Semi au cx with CKDM slowly creeping on top
and CKJH way on top on 750. This 2150-2156 on car radio.

Hello All,
It was a pretty wild morning for the low band Asians, sounding very much like
peak conditions in the middle of October. Some of the highlights were 603-China
and HLSA fighting it out in an S7-S9 mix around 1307, 594-JOAK pegging the
