Can't say that I noticed a real improvement in conditions here this
morning, that others did. Most loggings were a quick fade up and
that was the end of it, outside the big guns which weren't that big.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

Thanks Nick. A lot of memories. I met Dave when he was working at the Astoria
Employment Office in 1971. I was 21, he was 36. We went to a lot of conventions
together. Also with Bill Block.

After receiving a prepared card from the Toll Roads I tried for their
station on 1690 kHz. The FCC lists it as WQUR868 in Anaheim. I'm not sure
why the FCC allowed this since there is a station in Irvine on 1690. The
station is audible underneath the UCI station WQTB222. I can hear parts of

Your continued ability to receive very long range TP-DX in Oklahoma (especially
during this lackluster season) is pretty amazing. Your new 8" FSL antenna
apparently is compensating somewhat for the generally meager propagation.

I have a nice verie letter from them on the KAKA letterhead for a frequency
check in 1963. The "interesting" part about the call didn't strike me until
now. Ah, the purity of youth. Your point is well taken though, John. :-)

First of all, congratulations to Richard in Oklahoma for his reception of

so far inland (especially in this lean solar year). Asian signals were also

This morning was possibly the best here for TP DX so far this

594 JOAK? - a barely audible signal at 1243-1245 (LSR @ 1250).

774 JOUB - from 0837, occasionally at fair strength. Signal not
