Several months ago I had Charter install my high speed internet. Since then I
have had RF noise up and down the AM band. It it not bad at times, other times
worse. I went on line to look for a way to solve the issue. I found a posting
from a Ham that uses a cheap terminal strip and a Corcom Brut
"Undercover Radio" fair to good copy here just signing on 1710 khz at
0525 UTC with Halloween show.

Hi Brandon,
I'm afraid this has been in my "to do" pile for
rather a long time, but I very much enjoyed your
submission to the IRCA list about the SAL-30, and
the later one about the SAL-12. I was wondering
if I could re-publish it in the IRCA Technical
Column, and if so, whether you had o

Maybe the difference in power is cousing the signal to be heard great
distances. 1310 Prosser WA is back running 5 KW ND day & night in SS.

KHTS has become a pest up here in Oregon at night. I wonder if they have a
pattern change or are operating with day power at night. KTHS used to be rare.
I reposted my recent logging to Nancy's column of late.

Thanks everybody, KHTS it is! The "S" still sounds odd, but I can
definitely hear it that way now. It does look like just enough of their
pattern drops a bit below due east to give me a signal. I wish it had been
a little more "DX", but I'll take it!

No TP signals were audible in Oklahoma this morning when I listened

As for KMVL in TX, in case someone has not pointed this out, it is
significantly off frequency causing an audible het here at night (or is it
their experimental sibling?) I`ve been wishing someone in the local area would
check both exact frequencies. 73, Glenn Hauser, OK

Hello All,
Asian propagation was pretty scary this morning, with even most of the big guns
reduced to ghostly heterodynes. The frightfully bad conditions were a step
downhill from yesterday, with even the big guns like 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA
sounding half dead.

CHRF 980 gets out well at SRS. They were clobbering WONE.
I sent them a reception report and this is the reply,

I second what Rob Kenney said ""You're in the middle of a most music
hour on your hometown station AM 1220 KHTS"
It's as clear as can be to me :)

Hi Pat - My local WSYW (Indianapolis, IN) has been on overnights. They are
SS but I'm not sure that I would call the music tropical. BUT it is for
sure different than your average Regional Mexican that we get here in the
Midwest.

Brian, it sounds like "You're in the middle of a most music hour on your
hometown station AM 1220 KHTS" to me. KHTS program schedule shows "Most
Music Hour" for that time you were listening.

Hi,
I was working 1220 kHz a little after midnight on the 23rd (around 0715 UT)
and was able to pick out a call that really sounds like "KXPL". However,
KXPL is 1060 out of El Paso. Of course, there are other sound-alikes for
"X" and "P". On the other hand, I found an unusual situation where st
