Hello All,
Asian signals made a very halfhearted recovery this morning, with three big
guns managing anemic audio during sunrise enhancement around 1500. 693-JOAB was
the most persistent of the three, hitting fair peaks in Vancouver splatter for
about 10 minutes.
Unlike yesterday, at

I noted a bit ago while tuning across the dial, no IBOC has on 1150/1170. I

Hello All,
For those who may have interest in Washington state TIS stations, on the return
trip from Grayland on November 8th I made the usual I-5 transit of the Fort

low-powered 1500 kHz TIS station was no longer

KQAQ Austin, MS is classic country and WYSE Canton, NC is Sports/ESPN.
There is no 970 in Hawaii, anywhere.
I'm stumped too.
This doesn't sound quite like oldies to me, but that's not necessarily
important.

It is more like Classic Hits, than oldies, but it is well buried now. KTTO
Spokane is dominant with EWTN. Again, not audible off any antenna but the
Eastern Beverage, so I figure East. A station testing, maybe // with their FM?
I have no clue. Thanks Paul Mike. Maybe some new format change.

Checking the website for WATH 970 Athens, OH... they have a list of
the artists they play as a sample of their classic hits format and
they do list Santana. They do have a webstream and I did just hear

It very easily could've happened. .something printed on paper weeks or

someone changed formats.

Now I found the WATH stream, I cannot hear the UNID on 970. It looks like it

Now KBUL I can believe. Yes, I have heard flea power, but only on clear
frequencies. I'll keep checking. Thanks. I guess the 95.5 gave it away if
that was the oldies station, but in a jumble anything is possible, but there
isn't any sign of it as yet. KBUL is fairly rare here. KGNL 790 is
I also had what I would have presumed to have been KBUL this evening and
was also perplexed by the 70s and 80s music. I didn't get a call on that
before it faded out and then picked up a new log on 970, XESW with full
ident including call letters. You've solved my mystery, too!

That is a shame. I thought the TIS covering the base with info on Ft. Lewis was
unique. Now just another NOAA station. Thanks for passing this along. I

allowed to QSL. But the superior said that was okay. I like those
