Indeed, a poor morning, with some propagation oddities, mostly before
1300UT. And yes, there was a bit of a boost around 1400UT, mostly
affecting the big guns.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

Truth be told, Colin, I don't really get all that excited about big gun NHK
audio, either. But following daily propagation changes can be a way to maintain
hobby interest during a lean solar year
Was away the last couple of days, and could have stayed away one
more day as far as TP DX goes. Nearly a shutout in terms of audio
today, with only one feeble DU signal noted. Only one other carrier was
even close, with 792 (also likely Australia) on the verge now and again.

I'll echo what others have said.
This morning's SDR recording didn't have a lot on it in the way of TP
DX. JOUB-774 was good at times. JOAB-693 and JOBB-828 sometimes
produced reasonable audio.
That was about it. Probably just as well that there wasn't much to go
through when I got home

Got up at 1320 to check Nick's radar... And the pattern was yawn inducing. Back
to bed. Looked like a scattered flock of top tier Japanese...
Might have been an LSr enhancement but I snoozed through it.

Going to have a lap top up in the bedroom for morning peeks to check for
worthiness.
Hearing the NHK 1's at 10db over S9 is not longer a thrill.
Looking for Tier 2, 3 and inland catches at this point.
On Mon,
Colin might be interested in knowing that there was indeed a rather potent
sunrise enhancement for the TP's this morning, but it was all for the benefit
of the NHK big guns. What started off looking like a real clunker session was
rescued somewhat by a dramatic propagation boost for the
