Thanks for your comments, Guy.
It's probably wise to remember that Rockwork 4 likely has the best

A bit more audio today. Mostly the regulars (though calling them
regulars this season may be pushing it). The anomoly was on 639, where
neither Japan nor China can be termed regular. VOA did very well,
bordering on a VG signal at times.

Hi Chuck,
My apologies for not considering gain differences. I was too "wowwed" by
the obviously lower splatter levels on Dave's Rockworks #4 SDR files
compared to mine from Rockworks #2 on the morning of October 24.
I did no adjustments, but just zoomed in on specific signals to see the

Listening on the west coast, things are interesting. I parked on 860 about
5 minutes ago, and had CBKF-2 Saskatoon in with a solid signal. Within 5
minutes, it's completely changed to Spanish, likely KTRB in San Francisco.
All this without lifting a finger to change any of the Perseus controls.

Ditto for Victoria, Mark. I often wondered why 1521 wouldn't propagate out

Today was my first TP DX session in about 2 weeks. Conditions were
so-so here, with a handful of the regulars showing up. There was no
sunrise enhancement to speak of.A couple of stations peaked at about
1440. Others peaked an hour or more earlier.

Here in Alberta at least, it's generally just not there. I did hear it
several times back in the great TA years around 2007-2009, but not
since. Even back then, conditions had to be exceptional, whereas 1575
Farda was pretty much an every night thing.

The more pieces of this order I read, the more I become convinced that

Good job, Rob.
Yeah, AM signals should penetrate into most basements. Your outdoor LW must
really be noisy. Perhaps a hopeless situation? You could try some outdoor
terminated antenna like a superloop, but I fear too much noise especially if
the noise comes from all directions and you can't aim

Hello Guy,
<<< We and others like Gary have assumed that Rockworks #2 is easily the
preferred DXing site for chasing TPs due to the less-obstructed horizon to
the northwest. Well, I measured a number of high, mid, and low-band TP
stations for signal-to-noise ratios on my 1428-1430 UTC HDSD
