Anyone know the s/off time for KCTA-1030 for this time of the year? I heard
what sounded like a s/off at 1900 EST I did hear 50,000 watts and KCTA would be
the only station that would make sense.

Russ, I did check and yes the s/off time is 1900 EST so it looks like I got
KCTA.

All times and dates strictly UT [5 hours ahead of `ELT` during EST; when
changing times one must also change the dates for events in the 00-05 UT period
to the previous date by ELT].
Rx: mostly DX-398 with internal antenna only or PL-880; NRD-545 with ALA-330S
inside E-W
They are licensed to s/off at 1900 in Jan per Topaz site.

(mostly) around 1400UT, and a couple of signals came up with sunrise
enhancement
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

Reasonable audio at times during the period
Looks sharp. Love that IRCA logo. Took a couple seconds to load on the IPOD.
