Apart from some thrilling signals on 774 and 972 kHz (Japan and Korea)
today was an example of average and calm -
There were brief blips from a couple of not so often heard stations like
Japan on 873 (with full parallel to 774)

Speaking of car radios, my Dad had a 68 Catalina that was outstanding!
Easily picked up 760 WJR, 880 KRVN, 1160 WJJD with great audio. There were
others but this was in the late 70s and early 80s in Cedar Falls Ia.
Also coming to mind now my Dad and I heard our local, now defunct, 850 KLEU

Not really sunrise enhancement, but a bit of pre-sunrise
perhaps. Once again, some of the Asiatics showed as early as 1000UT,
but were generally stronger later.
