Might have been a lively Asiatic morning on the coast; pretty lively
compared with the last few mornings here, but quite splattery as well
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

KLIM currently has special temporary authority for 100 watts from a slant

KLIM 1120 was also co owned with KIIQ 93.7 which was licensed for 1kw at
like -300 feet, it's now owned by someone else as KIIQ Deer Trail, CO
licensed for 25kw at 212 meters from a tower9 miles N 4 miles northwest of
Limon. I doubt, highly doubt it's on either, even though it's licensed.

A rare one here in the NW. Logged and QSL's back in Sept 1985. Heard at 6:32
AM, Mountain time. I have not heard it in years. If I remember correctly, I
caught them on top of KPNW one morning. Received a nice verie letter and bumper
sticker. V/S: Linda Hawthrone, manager. Station was located at
The station has been off the air for years, if not a decade or more and has
only come back for a few days a year to save the license from permanent
deletion.
It once had a Permit to go from 250W NOn directional to 25kw 3 towers and
relicense to Black Forest but that expired unbuilt.

An interesting thread going on right now about KLIM, a station that I honestly
never held out much hope for ever picking up. Wasn't this station -- studios
AND tower -- taken out when a tornado ravaged Limon in June of 1990?
