The famous Japanese DXers Hiroo Nakagawa and Satoshi Miyauchi have arrived to

To step 5, I would restart the PC after it's powered down, run a few key

Good tips. To which you can add, "don't drop your laptop during the

Thanks.

FWIW, I just updated to Win10 a few days ago.
The Perseus works fine with the Perseus software and HDSDR.
It will also work with Studio1, but at the moment the software receives

Having tried other things, did you try to install unsigned drivers in Win 10?
It can be done, but takes a little trickery.

Steve, I'm not aware of any daytimers on 850 that were given sunset + 2 hours.
KFUO in Clayton (St. Louis), Missouri (Neil, I think this is the station you
were thinking of earlier) is allowed to stay on until sunset in Denver, but,
AFAIK, every other daytimer on 850 -- WQRM included -- shoul

Tom and I were honored to welcome our first international participant to the

Better yet: do what I do - avoid PC based/powered SDR's... That tie you to
update/reboot crash cycles.
Many of my analog radios have been on for decades and have never needed reboots
or firmware updates.

(1) A week before the trip, force an installation of all available Windows

(2) Next, disable Internet access so no new updates can get downloaded nor can
the Internet wreak havoc. Note that Windows updates are downloaded any old time
in Cedar Falls and absolutely a dead frequency here. Was on yesterday and
heard just on the SE side of Waterloo Ia. Most likely off the air or
reduced power. Rick? Anything your way since your in its main lobe?

What a great call-letter - WQRM. I wonder if they have a clue what QRM means

As one who has seen what FCC de-funding of inspections and enforcement have
