Similar to Gary's observations, things took a dive here this
morning. Only two signals reached audio, and both were pretty feeble.
774 from Melbourne, and 1116 from Brisbane both reached audio in the
1221-1223 time frame. Nothing here from Asia. In previous Septembers

1566 HLAZ was also heard but way down in level. Up a little early, there
were many hets from the bottom to about 1300 kHz. No expanded band hets

and 1593.

Thanks to Dennis for his TP report this morning. Apparently the grim reaper was
operating between here and Kalama, with Asian signals skipping over this
location to go south. In any case propagation took a nosedive in comparison to
yesterday, with only three lonely TP carriers showing up at

looked it up, both "http://topazdesigns.com/ambc/; and wikipedia list it as
silent. I enjoy mw dxing in the daytime since the dials in southern new
England have so many stations, you never know what might pop up especially
