Unfortunately, over that time period, just a carrier was being heard
here, Richard.
Better luck next time.

Hi Richard,
Perhaps you had something DU backgrounding V&AB's open carrier. They
usually drop audio a tad prior to 1130 and I think did so this morning as
well. The carrier was strong enough after that at times for me to be quite
sure it was open carrier and no modulation.

Thanks Nick. After freshly calibrating this morning, I noted three
standouts here: 737.998, 738.001 & 737.002 and I suspected the last two

I can give you the relative settings for now from
this morning's files: 2NR was highest, with
Tahiti 1.1Hz lower and a suspected NZ (it was
noted at 0800 with no sign yet of 2NR) 3Hz lower than Tahiti.

Needless to say, there was nothing quite as dramatic here as the recent DU

seemed to be in a slight hangover after the recent solar tantrum. Once
Congratulations on your 774 DU audio near D.C., Bill.
Like Nick says, the ABC website does keep very detailed archives of its
transmitted programs, and can be very useful once you learn how to sort through
the maze. I think you were an addressee in the correspondence I had with Chuck

Congratulations Bill. It does have a a more DU
English sound to it. Unfortunately that is too
early for my own recording, and suspect that it
would have been ruled by JOUB at that time anyway.
It might be worth checking the ABC archive (as
