signals today. 4BC on 1116 had talk by a man at 1215 and 3LO on 774 had
some talk at 1248. Things were already well on their way down by 1300,
even though sunrise isn't until 1335 these days.

2 of the three phasers have active elements (Quantum and DX Engineering
NCC1) but all three have this issue but I will say that the Quantum is
probably most prone. Thinking back to when I first bought the Quantum
I was located about 5 miles south (9 miles from BZ) and the issue wasn't
as bad

702 managed a short while of readable talk // to a virtually
unreadable 612 at 1356UT. Rhythmic vocal music on 738, not //702, so
presumed Tahiti. And 756 poked up with DU English

phaser, but it is not meant to be baked by RF. I'd look at that

Thanks Nick. Careful measurements this summer suggested there was no noise
difference between an FLG/transformer/Coax and FLG/straight coax. (Yes
there's a 1:2 transformer added to the mix when the FLG feeds coax.) But
I'm in a very quiet area, QRM-wise, so that test might have been irrelevan
Incidentally, for the DXpeditioner, the FLG100 will drive over 500
feet of coax, though not in the manufacturer's specs.

I listened for about a half-hour ending at 1231 sunrise. No Asian signals were

Fade pattern on 1512 and 1548 of ~ 2 second peaks and ~ 2 second valleys. Both
