pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,

Congratulations Jim, nice QSL. Glad to see there are still QSL collectors in

in telegraphic shorthand to signify the end of a transmission in the American
Civil War era.

To borrow a description from Nick Hall-Patch, I had a near imaginary, wisp of a
carrier on 747 this morning at ~1420, or so. Nary a peep from a host of other
frequencies. That carrier was more than I have heard in some time. I have been
off and on the dials over the last co
No worries - I'm taking down my last antenna - the ALA100 array while I'm in
Hawaii - conditions will completely turn around within hours.

Best conditions I've heard in years overnight!
TAs on 162, 171 198, 216 and 252 were loud and clear. Logged a bunch of
new navigational aid and AM radio stations. It may take me days to log
all the new stations from the recordings!

I happen to be up late (on-call tonight). A quick look at the bands yields
nothing. 1017 is just there on the waterfall, but far from any audio.
Compare that to a few nights ago, around the same time when I had pretty
decent audio on 1098. 73,...Walt

If you think it was disappointing there, Richardeven HLAZ didn't
make it to Victoria this morning. The 28th was dull, with a few big
guns struggling in long before sunrise, but the 29th was amazingly
poor. Roll on tomorrow.
best wishes,
Nick
