Chris,
Thanks very much for providing your own assessment on Craig's Kauai TP-DXing
videos.

lost between the radio and your phone, it's hard to confirm this as much.

558 I agree. I hear Pohang in there as far as the non-Japanese signal goes.

Good Morning,
My first impressions of sunrise DX at my current Kona location bring Mark
Connelly's observations to mind. While I am currently have an unobstructed view
of the ocean, I am about 3 miles inland "up the hill". Mark commented that even

Rick,
Ok, good. However I did finally hear "CJAD Newstalk 800" sometime after my
last post. Not new, but very rare here because of CJBQ and CKLW.
Odd that Dr. Asa's site wouldn't mention CKLW, since it is a blowtorch
signal for the program.
Thanks for describing CKLW's fire. I only knew it
This may very well be CKLW...
Several folks noted CKLW back on last night, but much weaker. And I am
fairly certain it was back in by the time of this logging

Jim, I'd put the brakes on reporting this one as CJAD just yet. Dr. Asa's
program, "On-Call" IS carried on CKLW from 10:30 to Midnight, right at the time
you would've heard it, and Coast-To-Coast AM follows. This according to their
website, and I DID get CKLW carrying Dr. Asa back on March
As reported previously, Craig Barnes of Wheat Ridge, Colorado is currently on a
Hawaii vacation to Kauai and the Big Island. He took along a new 5 inch
"Frequent Flyer" FSL antenna, and has used it to receive multiple Asian and
Pacific island stations with his stock Tecsun PL-310 Ultralight.
