Now I'm wondering if this is not Florida. It's definitely in Spanish, but
I just heard an ad for Lawrence. The Massachusetts station is supposed to
be Portuguese. Has that changed? Jim Renfrew. Clarendon NY

0133 EDT 1570 UNID Spanish/Mexican music, heard "La Raza" slogan at
0133, previously I heard an ad in Spanish mentioning "South Florida". WVOJ
is near Jacksonville, in the north, and WTWB is closer to Tampa, but not
what I would call "south". Both use "La Raza" on
Note to self. Yesterday was the 10th, today was the 11th.
The 11th, this morning, was not as good as the last couple of
mornings, most emphasis on NZ it seemed
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,

As a boy, I loved reading the “Ask Hank, He Knows!” columns in Elementary
Electronics and Communications World. The author was “Hank Scott” but I was
never certain if that was a pen name or not.
Anyone know what became of Hank Scott?

for the IRCA DX contest for a while. 1325 DU stations were in on lower channels
with weak signals and not much splatter. ABC live stream was not available.
