Listening just now, I heard what sounded like a ska version of The
Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Pop". Just before that (I think it was the same
station?), at the TOH (2300 UTC), hrd what sounded like "This is the
Dream Broadcasting Network" and then some chimes of some kind. "Dream"
is what it sounded
It is saying "power" and using it as a spoken ID, it is thrown in quite
often, also "power entertainment" quite often

I sent out some QSL requests for August 21 ECLIPSE receptions. I got the
first one back today from WRAK 1400 in Williamsport PA. Unfortunately, my
furthest reception from Roanoke VA did not have enough detail to report it.

No recording posted. But if you say it's been broadcasting Spanish lately
that's probably the explanation. Though the web page is all Portuguese.
I've heard the Portuguese broadcasts many times before, so not anything new
to me. Thanks, Mark. Jim Renfrew

1570 WCCM Methuen, MA has been Spanish rather than Portuguese lately.
Good chance that you heard them. They don't always reduce power.
Have you posted audio online anywhere for DXers to review (e.g. RealDX)?

Hello everyone:
I updated the Pacific Asian Log a few days ago. It's now posted on the
Radioheritage website: http://www.radioheritage.net/ You'll need to go
through a couple of the site's internal links to get to the proper page,
but you'll be able to either download the PDF version or use t
It was definitely Spanish, I will have my wife who is fluent in Spanish
listen tonight. I speak some and listened for a while and I heard no ID's
but did hear "Power" repeated several times. The music was mostly raggaeton
which would be something you'd hear from The Dominican Republic.

That remain silent authority expired 7/31/2017 and another has not been
filed for WVOJ, so if they are silet, theyve been silent for about 45 days
with no authority.
Honestly, the best source to check for off air authority is the FCC's own
website

WVOJ's website gave no hint about its programming. Shown in my old NRC Log
as religious. If it's silent it still has a web page. Both Florida AMs on
1570 appear to use "La Raza". I may have heard that ID two nights ago, but
now I'm not so sure. Jim Renfrew
PS, Si, conozco la diferencia entre
Station Intel lists WVOJ as being silent for the last 8 months.
I know people are just trying to help here, but why are some pointing to
this being WCCM? I've spent enough time DXing with Jim in Nfld. to know
that he can tell SS from PP!
Jim, I suggest taping at least an hour of this station and
A little better today with 774 and 1566 both reaching better levels
briefly than lately. About 10 minutes before sunrise the whole band had
hets for 5 minutes though most were just very weak (no expanded band).
594 Japan 1243 utc very poor
774 Japan poor on peaks with EE lessons 1259 into TOH
As far as I know WCCM is Portuguese "Nossa Radio", and the station web page
gives no indication that it's anything but Portuguese. What I heard over
several hours last night was entirely Spanish rapidly spoken. The only ID I
managed to hear was "La emisora de musica vaquera", but I'm not sure abo
Perhaps WCCM Beverly, MA?

I think you are hearing WCCM in Methuen Massachusetts on 1570.
They have a habit of not powering down at night.
