I can't really add much to the sentiments so far expressed about Paul. It
was always a pleasure to meet him again at the conventions; he was an
interesting man as well as a great asset to the hobby.
best wishes,

At 2:57, the ad says "en Jeffersonville, Indiana". Is New Albany Spanish now?
Both towns are in the Louisville market.

I had a spanish language station on 1570, sounded like mexican music. The
signal was weak.. checking webstreams, it did not appear to be a match for
WCCM or WTWB. The signal up here in NW Pennsylvania on Sept. 22nd around
10pm or so at night as pretty weak, but about 2 minutes and 30 seconds in

This is Sad news indeed! I Knew Paul a long time; we would correspond when
I was living in Australia and first met him at the Dallas convention in 2001
when I moved here to live, a good friend and great DXer!
He will be missed!

Paul S. was a good guy. WE didn't always see eye to eye on how i handled
things, but he was pretty even keeled in handling it. .and he'd worked in
broadcasting way back when... one of the few DX'ers who had, so he
understood the hobby more then some I think

Thank you Paul - as one of the younger DXer's in our fold, sadly you will
be called upon to report these things from time to time.
It's appreciated.

I think I'd agree about the quality of the Asian reception, DennisI did
get some audio on 1206 here in Victoria, and there may be snippets on 1242
and 1287 in the recordings. HLAZ on its Japanese program doesn't count of
course...is there interference down there for you?

it's usually a mushy jumble of WLAC, WRNJ and
