Pretty much back in the bucket again this morning, lots of interesting
carriers, some with hints of audio. The Aussie X-band has started to make an
appearance, but again, mostly hints (and certainly nothing like western

An interesting morning, with a mix of DU and Asia, but it wasn't an
ordinary DU day, as the usual strong Brisbane stations were quite weak,
yet I was hearing bits of audio elsewhere, and the highlight was a few
minutes of decent audio on 1152 which as far as I can determine had to
have been
Conditions were generally poor until just before sunrise, when a couple
of things happened:
- The NHK stations on 747 774 and 828 made late showings starting at
about 1315 UT.
- There was a brief but interesting sunrise enhancement at the high end
of the band, which lasted for a few minutes
Conditions in Seattle were similar to what Gary reported, with 747 774
828 and 972 varying from nothing to mediocre signal levels.
However...from 1320 to 1340 UTC, the band was quite interesting
above 1300 kHz with a brief but intense sunrise enhancement. I had

Asian propagation lurched backward this morning, resulting in a clunker session
with audio from only a few big guns, And of those, only the Korea stations on
972 and 1566 managed any respectable peaks, with the Japanese big guns stuck in
anemia.
