Yes, the old 840 Grande Prairie. Both Grande Prairie's disappeared from AM, both 840 & 1050. Retuning a transmitter for a new frequency is fairly easy to do, so the transmitters could end up anywhere. At the cost of a new transmitter, I can imagine that used ones in good contion would be in demand.

Alot of the AM stations that are turning in the AM license for a new FM channel -- are owned by the CBC or big station groups. They wouldn't put their old transmitters on eBay. They have too many to sell or get rid of. They would use a broker to get rid of them all. One more reason to keep y

900 Victoria is another, when CJVI moved to FM, CKMO, the University got 900. 1200 finally showed up again, but not in Victoria, but Vancouver. 850 Abbottsford is supposed to return with ethnic also. It seems the ones in the cities return and the ones in smaller towns don't. One exception is CKER
