Gary,
You could not have gotten through on the phone anyway. We had no local
cel service. All power was out to everything. We were totally cut off
for several days. Finally KAST got a Satellite phone and got some
messages out. Some generators showed up, but it was something else.
I appreciate ever
Craig,
Thanks. I barely got a message to Bill from a distant cel tower, I
believe on the Long Beach Pen., WA, but it was weak and it was hard to
get enough signal to do much with. I thank Bill for posting the message
on the list. We were without about everything communication-wise
including no 9-1
Pat,
I am glad you made it OK through the recent round of
storms. Hopefully Mother Nature will give you a break
for a while. You and your coastal neighbors have been
through enough recently.
Thanks to Bill Block for keeping us posted while you
were incommunicado.

Patrick,
We saw the Northwest Cable News coverage of the disaster in Seaside,
and since your power was out, we wondered if you were OK. Still had your cell
phone # from the summer visit, but saw Bill Block's post, and knew you were
all right. I guess it's one thing to drive to Seasi
Gary,
Thanks for the invite, but fortunately I still have a house. But I was
beginning to wonder for a while. I think I-5 ended up at one point being
10 feet under water. I don't think it ever has been flooded that much.
The experts are saying that this was the worst storm to hit the OR/WA
coasts
Rich & Dennis,
Thanks for your concern. Our power came on Wednesday night, about 72
hours it was off. But at I type this Saturday night, there are still
many that do not have power. Seaside/Gearhart got power Friday night.
But I did eat breakfest over at Camp Rilea a couple of mornings. I lived

Patrick,
We (myself, Ruth and Danny) feel very happy that you are safe. During
the worst part of the storm when we heard about how hard Seaside was hit, we
discussed offering you shelter in our spare bedroom. But when the TV reported
how I-5 was under 8 feet of water at Chehalis (and
Bill,
It was a real dozie. Nothing I want to go through again. Yes, I will
post things as we go along. But people can check out The Astorian's
website. There is quite a story on our storm. and pictures too.

Hi Patrick,
Glad to see you made it back alright. In S. E.
Michigan, we had 40 MPH winds and snow over the
weekend, but after hearing about your troubles, we are
thankful that is all we had.

Patrick, I am glad you made it through the storm fine. It sounds like it
was a real doozie of a storm. Keep us posted about your recovery efforts.
