This time, I'll vote more with Bruce than with Gary, must have been on the edge of some absorption to the north. It wasn't lousy, it just wasn't yesterday, hi. The odd one was 1386, which wasn't NHK2, seemed very unlikely to be R. Tarana, or indeed, anything else that I've heard about.

This morning was better than it looked at first glance...any morning with identifiable DWXI-1314 and CNR1-981 is not a complete write off for me. Sunrise peak around 1340-1350UT pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 774 JOUB. EE

Got up just before 1330UT (hey, it's Sunday), looked at the Fishbarrel lit up like a Christmas tree, and headed off to the radio room. Asia has returned with a vengeance; and looking at the various indices does not explain anything, unless we're on the cusp of another geomagnetic upset.
