I was living in New Brunswick in the 60s and used to listen to 1520 Buffalo
when
it was still WKBW 1520 Buffalo playing top 40 hits and it was the strongest
nighttime signal there at night and in the cold winter months it would hang in
all day long too, so basically a 24 hr station. Later on in Toronto and
Mississauga On it was available 24 hrs but with less than a listenable signal
both day and night so I guessed that TO was in a null area since they were
pushing their signal east -west and had a very limited north-south signal
pattern. Even with good receivers it was difficult to get them from anywhere
north of Lake Ontario. One night on the Joey Reynolds Show ,at about 11PM AST.
he announced that he had a listener in Europe but I can't remember the country.
But from my first location in NB when this was heard, I never managed to get
any
signals from anywhere in Europe. Bill in BC
