there..cheapads everywhere.Used to pass it all the time driving to my
inlaws in D.C. Eventually the owners sold
the store, forget whats there now.

I never had much luck fishing near KNEW antenna towers on the SF bay.
Remember back in the 70's when Tall Tom Cambell worked for them and his ads for
"Mathews TV" in Daily city. They played oldies then.

Yes, on those rare occasions KNEW shuts down I have heard CKDQ atop more than
once, but never with much of a signal. Pat, I remember in the mid 60s from
Sacramento--KISN Vancouver would
usually dominate the frequency after sunset, beating out Oakland etal

Q-91 (CKDQ) used to be more rare, but when phasing the two EWEs, with
the Northern lobe, I hear CKDQ often now. For some reason 910 Portland
with talk does not have the push in signal they had before either. 910
is often more of a jumble.

Thanks for the information on Q-91 CKDQ-Drumheller. The Q-91 is a big help,
since stations now a days use their slogans much more than their call letters.
Will give the frequency a try tonight.
