The Asians returned today, but once more vanished in mid-session.
All the big guns from Japan were doing well, but then took a dramatic
dive between 1340 and 1345. Interestingly , VOA Thailand was going the
other way at the same time.
594 JAPAN, Tokyo JOAK
First noted in audio at 1302, and rose rapdily after that. By 1330
it was as good as it's been this season. Rapid fade after 1340.
693 JAPAN, Tokyo JOAB
Joined the party a bit late, reaching audio with talk by woman in
Japanese at 1316.
747 JAPAN, Sapporo JOIB
Already in audio with language lesson when I started at 1244.
774 JAPAN, Akita JOUB
Like 747, already in audio at 1244, and with a good signal.
828 JAPAN, Osaka JOBB
Reached audio with language lesson at 1331.
1566 KOREA,S., Cheju HLAZ
Nil when I began at 1244, but rose from a mid-level carrier to good
audio within about 3 minutes around 1320. Stayed there for a few
minutes, and then almost completely gone by 1335.
1575 THAILAND VOA
This one refused to follow the trend. It was doing nothing,
finally reaching audio around 1342 (just when everything else was going
out), with fair-good audio extending past 1400.
