Hi Chris,
After years of hearing virtually no Alaskans, they became rather
more common at the bottom of the solar cycle in 2007-2009.I've
logged 18, pretty much all in that time period. Since then they've
reverted to being pretty uncommon. I think KINY is the only one I've
heard this

Pat is correct. I did hear Yellowknife on 1340 many times. Unfortunately it
moved to FM in March of this year. I have never logged CHAK-860. Alaskans
haven't been as common this winter as other years, tho a few have made it
through with KINY the most common.

logged here, not with CFPR running 10 KW fulltime.

Need a good DX test on a non-auroral winter night hi. It has been sad to see

Even on the JA beverage, Alaska MW stations are not at all common here.
Altho 529 Level Island is very routine but no so the BCB stations. Yukon
and NT are even less common as in "never". Something "could" be lurking on
an SDR recording so maybe I shouldn't say never

Chris. Didn't ID until 1402UT, I thought it must have been a Canadian!
KTKN-930 is probably the most likely Alaskan here, but I suspect the

I don't listen much in the mornings, but noted 800 KINY, Juneau here at
1550 UTC before heading out. I imagine this is a regularly heard station
on the West Coast, and probably a pest for the TP hunters, but it is
only the second Alaskan station for me after 1110 KAGV. I wonder if

Hi Everyone:
For the first time since I bought the Perseus some weeks back, I set it up last
night to record a block of frequencies centered on 580 using my Hawaiian BOG.
My goal was to try and log either KVMI or KQNG in Hawaii. As expected, the
Perseus produced some huge files to go over today

This time I tuned my receiver and timer combo to 820 hoping to hear KCBF. After
many many fruitless nights, and hearing countless KGNW and WBAP ID's, this

Hi Everyone:
After my success earlier this week logging both KFQD and KICY, and now that the
Edson AB station is no more, I thought I would try for the Fairbanks station on
970. First 2 nights were a bust with many ID's heard for both KBUL and WDAY.
However, some times there was another unknown
