Craig,
Thanks for the suggestions, but a move to the EC would be HUGE for me.
It would be easier to move back to Alaska and I would still have my cake
and eat it too. I would have the TP/DU DX plus the
over the pole TA DX. That is more of an option, plus the weather in
Alaska is not bad in the
Some parts of Alaska would be WAYYY to remote for me... and wayyy too cold
in the winter.

Just stay put Pat. You've got one of the very best locations in the lower
48. IBOC will go away with the Republicans in 09.

Paul,
True, but away from QRM, IBOC, and all of the garbage from civilation.
But a town like Palmer (no AMs) 50 miles North of Anchorage is an option
as that is where Clayton Woodward heard most of the World on MW. I could
get used to that!
I lived in Alaska from 55-67 and that is where I heard

Don,
Thanks. I love this location. I was born 50 miles South in Tillamook.
This evening just before dark, I had over 100 Canadian Geese 30-40 feet
away from me in the field. It was beautiful. They were feeding.

An emphatic yes, Patrick! Lots and lots of hoops. One can't just come across
the border and decide to become a Canadian!.Walt.

How about staying in the U.S. for residence and then working on dual
citizenship from here? I guess it isn't all that easy to become a
citizen of the U.S. these days either.

I'd say, Patrick, about the only way would be to have a Canadian partner
One American I was talking
to said he married a Canadian gal and that made it much easier.
Pat:
Even that is not as easy as it used to be. When I did it 30 odd years ago it
was easy and it only took a few months. These days it takes much longer. One
thing to remember, for anyone wanting to do
Hey Pat. Maybe Andrea and I can legally adopt you?
I mean, we have no children - and as a dxer (like me)
you are prone to the odd childish or churlish outburst
when that 250W Indonesian station fades over the hour...
It must count for something.
PS: You do not have to call me Daddy if you don't
Mike,
That was my thinking on it, if I was to make the move would be to start
it here. But again time will tell. The thought of living in the NE of
North America does have some great DX perks. That is for sure. Even
where you live, you are away from most of the HD stuff.

Colin,
I am getting older..Maybe I can revert to a 2nd childhood. hi. I wonder
how good DX is in Alert? hi. No HD up there to worry about, just trying
to keep warm I guess. Possibilities...possibilities... :)
