None of this past weekend's DX tests heard here:
KLAA-830: IBOC hiss from WHAS-840 and/or WBAP-820
made 830 virtually unlistenable.
KEVA-1210: Not heard - without code or at least some
sweep tones, I wasn't optimistic that
they would cut through WPHT's IBOC.
KQMS-1400: Not heard, but thanx for the graveyard DX
opportunity.
I remember that KEVT tested last year with no code or
tones, when they were on 1030, and weren't widely
heard then, either. Perhaps in the future they could
be talked into running at least a few code/tone
inserts into their programming? Of course, we have to
take what the stations give us, and the opportunity
was definitely better than no opportunity at all.
