Me too Todd. I usually use local time on domestic reports, but make
the
time known. On foreign catches (if any anymore) I use UT.

Maybe IRCA should bring it up again. But i am sure many are still for
Eastern time, but maybe times have changed.

I guess I should be happy that XERF did not boost to their former power
of 250KW, but 100KW is plenty.

Yeah, XERF had become a real non-factor even here for quite some time, but now
they're a pest again. I had managed to log Alberta (CFEZ?) and BC there back
in the day...ms

Mike,
1220 is a good frequency for me. That is, until KDOW CA goes to their 50
KW. Hopefully, not for sometime. 1570 used to be good too. That is,
until XERF went to 100 KW. 1570 is no longer what it was. No more flea

Walt,
The tip also goes to Nancy (WDXR) and the IRCA has always used Eastern
Time for domestic tips. We have discussed that many times within the
club as some of us, myself included would like to move everything to
UTC. But the domestic DXers are for leaving things as they are. So for

Just a general question, fellas, about nomenclature. Is using EST the
accepted time to use? Personally, I find this confusing, and prefer to use
UTC so that everyone knows the time at their own location (my DX shack has
both a local PT clock and a UTC clock). I'm just curious why Patrick would

Thanks Paul,
The KDAK could have sounded like an KDHH or ?. I thought maybe a new
addition to the group, a FM. I am quite pleased with the log though.

KQDJ is on 101.1 licensed to Valley City and KQDJ 1400 is licensed to
Jamestown.
You could've heard "KOVC", or "KDAK" as I know KOVC, KDAK and KDDR do
sometimes simulcast on all 3 signals.
