Paul,
I was with two other DXers at the time and of course we all knew his
comment was not true, but we did not say anything to the PD. But you can
be sure, when we left the station, we were talking about. hi.
I also have hundreds of pix of stations with the transmitters.

HA! If that isn't the biggest, steaming, festering pile of doggie doo-doo
I've ever heard.
I've taken tons of transmitter pictures.
WOOPS. Guess I've broken some inane, archaic FCC law.
Hand cuff me, throw me in a cell and throw away the key!

Dave,
Years ago, I was visiting a local station and the new PD said that we
could not take a pix of the transmitter as it was not allowed by the
FCC. I kid you not. I was there when he said it. So, there are a lot of
misinformed people out there.

On the subject of QSL denials, the only I received was from Radio Japan.
WRMI in Miami was relaying one of their broadcasts one day, and wanting a
QSL as the transmitting site, I sent in my report.
They didn't exactly deny, but confirmed a completely different time,
location, and frequency. I s
Would that be the station whos tower is in the old
sand pit, near the skating rink at the corner of three
towns down by the river side ??

Don,
I got a QSL from CFRA back in 65 from Seward AK. I think they had moved

I remember receiving a QSL Letter from CFRA-Ottawa Ont., believe they were on

correct but they couldn't understand how I heard them as they beamed their
signal almost totally away from me. I was

I have never had that happen to me, quite that way. I did go to the old
KISN transmitter site once trying to get a QSL, but the armed guards ran

This didn't happen recently, but while on the phone with Powell, the story
came to mind...
Back when I was living on my own, after high school, in Connecticut.. I was
tuning the AM dials and heard a station with very clear call letters, promos
and etc that very clearly identified the station. They
