I set mine to :58-:01 and :04-:07 since some stations ID or (at least back
east) give local weather after the news. I sometimes have to sit through
some pathetic promos (especially on Coast-to-Coast and ESPN stations)
between :58 and :00, but these settings work pretty well and give me a
little ma

Talk with just about any adjective in front of it is pretty awful. Even
sports talk, because there are too many networks and the talent has been
diluted. The toughest part of DXing these days is sitting through 59
minutes of tripe to get an ID (if they remember to include one - good
luck if it's

Everybody is some form of talk it seems on AM. Even Rel stations seem to
run a lot of talk. Look at any major market including SF, LA,
Portland, Seattle
Wonderful format! People LOVE to talk on radio about things they they've heard
about but don't really KNOW any of the facts. It seems the less they know
about the more biased their opinions
are. Well, AM Radio offers the gamut for anyone with a strong stomach.
