Honestly, I'm not really sure... short of a professional coveragfe map being done form an engineer at about $100 a pop.. whic I obviously know, is out of the question in this case. The FCC's site shows pattern day, but just what direction the signal should go.. it's not overlayed with towns at

Dennis and Others, KGO hash on 820 makes semi-local KGNW difficult to hear even in Puyallup, about 25 miles away. At night, KDPQ-800 is hopelessly buried under KGO's hash, but KDPQ does put in a weak carrier on daytime ground wave, before sunset brings in the hash from California.

Dennis, I sent a reception report to KDOW 1680 Seattle and mentioned to the CE that the KGO hash does cover KPDQ 800 KGNW 820 at night here. With KPDQ's 500w, they probably don't cover much of the Portland area at night at all. Salem should make a complaint. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin KAVT

Gary, I wonder if the CE at Salem in Seattle knows about the 820 hash? I mentioned it to him in the report. It will be interesting to hear what happens, if anything. Patrick Patrick Martin KAVT Reception Manager ___ IRCA mailing list

Dennis, it looks like you are well within KPDQ's NIF contour. http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KPDQservice=AMstatus=Lhours=N that being the case, KPDQ would have a legitimate complaint against KGO. Have you sent a note to KPDQ? Bill [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Good Evening: In the

Radio-locator maps arent necessarily true and correct when it comes to NIF Contour. What radio-locator.com shows and whatI've had done by Peter Monecure show something slightly different, so don't take radio-locator for gospel. Radio locator says my station should put a listenable signal over

Hi Bill, I plan on sending a note or e-mail with the 60 second clip attached. The coverage map on radio locator shows my location (Salmon Creek) to be in the red circle for local coverage. KDPQ's signal was S-9+20 db, but hash can be heard with the signal. A regular listener would

Good Evening: In the process of doing a nighttime band scan, when I got to 800 local KDPQ was covered in KGO hash. All 4 outdoor antennas with hash to some degree. Make a minute recording of the hash. The only way I could hear 820 KGMW in Seattle was with the Kiwa loop with KGO nulled.
