I did not know that KFBK is constructed in the way Scott described. I would
imagine only 33% of our list is aware of the technical marvels that the radio
world offers.
I fall into the radio technically challenged lol. However since I love this
hobby soon much, I would love to try to understand.
I noticed tonight that KFBK 1530 is running IBOC, doing a number on 1540
especially on KXPA.

I checked around midnight. KFBK seemed to have IBOC on BUT it was nowhere as
strong as the first few days (as you noted). I could hear a hiss below the
stations on 1520 & 1540 but it was not
too annoying. Worse was KMJ Fresno on 580 creating a mess on 590 & to a lesser
degree 570. KOGO
Bob,
I will see if KFBK continues to leave it off. If so, I will write them.
However, KXPA is not in my listening area.

KFBK's HD seems to be off tonight, or so weak I cannot detect it. KFBK
has a huge signal to the North. KGO is still huge with HD tonight too.

I have been listening while driving to work around 0300, and KFBK does not
generate anywhere near as much IBOC noise (at 80 miles or so) as KEX does at
800 miles. LA is strong on 1540 with KFBK IBOC in the background, and Port
Hueneme is usually above the hiss on 1520. Except fo
