Dennis, Yes, I remember the history well. An older man got the CP back in the 80s on 850 with 250w. I can't remember his name without checking the QSL. He was visiting stations on the coast and stopped in at KSWB. A very nice gentleman. He built the station and wanted Adult Standards on the air in

Pat, Thanks for the current information on KORC 820.  Glad to read that there still on the air. Funny that the FCC website would list them as silent.  The below link gives some history of the station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KORC Dennis, Salmon Creek, WA _

Dennis & Paul, KORC is indeed on the air with rock music this morning. Weaker than usual though. I need to check my SW EWE termination to make sure the cows have not messed it up, but it sounds like they did. But KORC is on the air. But with Rocket Radio in a town of 1500 people, mostly older reti

KORC basically just changed format. I don't believe they were silent at all. If they were off, it was a very short time like a day. I live 120 air miles North of Waldport on the OR Coast and KORC is regular here. They are rock and "The Rocket" is the slogan. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin KGED QSL M

Looking back on the KORC thread, they claim it's been silent since April 1st, but I could swear it was well after that at which my friend actually heard KORC on the air, and I remember this because I started a new job April 1st.. and it wasnt till at least 10 days after that, which my friend told m

The application filed by KORC to go silent is over 45 days old, filed back on April 1, 2009 when, I don't think, Rocket Radio had even launched on KORC. I *think* the Portland Radio website may have outdated information because a friend was just up there (IN WALDPORT) last weekend and heard them on
