I got a letter back from the KRSN test and the tones I heard did not
match their sweep tones. Nothing on the CD matched their programming. Oh
well, it was worth a shot. A nice bumper sticker and fridge magnet was
enclosed, so that was nice. Hopefully when they test again, I can give

KRSN test heard here on barefoot Sony SRF-T615 at 796 km (494 mi). Only the
Morse (CW) and sweep tones came through QRM from KDMO, Carthage MO.
ULR station #946 (barefoot #934) / New Mexico #25 / YTD #35.
My thanks to those responsible for arranging the test.

I'm not sure what "sweep tones" are, but I heard a short series of tones
getting progressively higher in frequency. Just one series of maybe 5
notes. Jim Springfield Mass.

Walt,
Interesting. I wonder if we did hear the test? Then. I am glad I am not
the only one to report the sweep tones. The SW EWE is what brought it
in and I found the Eastern beverage is too directional to the East on
1490. Thanks.
