Heard today at 1101 AM PST the KTRP equipment test announcement and with
the tone. S-9+30db on the fence antenna with the MW550P off. Some splatter
from local KXMG 1150.

KTRP seems to have a great signal even this far to the NW, at nearly 100
air miles during the day. At least on my antennas. So they must sing in
the valley and into Portland. However, their lp at night will not do
much.

They're going to need every last one of those 25,000 watts during the day.
Their towers are extremely short for 1130; only 130 feet (53.7 degrees
electrical height).
I have a nifty spreadsheet that converts tower height to degrees electrical
height and other very similar calculations for towers
Going to be listening to KTRP 1130 to see if they sign on today.
At 7:00 AM PST it's just CKWX being heard.
