Beacon LYQ on 529Khz heard this morning at 5:30AM Central time. Signal is
weak but can be separated from the mess on 530. They are located near
Manchester, Tenn and run with 25 watts. Best bet in the midwest is just
before local sunrise when RVC, Cuba and the Canadian begin to fade. First

It's a tad under the 530-1700 BCB but if you are east of the
Mississippi you have probably heard the beacon LYQ-529. It was
getting out pretty well last month when I was driving from
Chattanooga to Owensboro KY. I called them for info. It's at an
airport in Morrison, TN and is part of the W
I heard this early this past week at Burnt River ON.
I'd read about it here awhile ago, but forgot to
check. But heard a het on 530 while DXing and noted
LYQ as the cause. Then a day or so later it was
completely absent. This would explain...

for it again. I too thought a QSL card was "forthcoming", but nothing seen

Nice log, Tom. If they're doing transcribed weather broadcasts
(TWEB), this would be the first I've heard of a station (starting or
resuming) doing such in years. Then too, it may just be a local thing
for tests. May have to actually try and log it.!
