E'er we forget Outer Limits 60s episode, "Galaxy Being", filmed largely
in/around, IIRC, Mt. Hollywood TV site. Monitors galore and - yes! - great big
Motorola VHF mitters w/speaker in center, doubtless VHF analog Lo-Band, last
truly decent form of VHF communication. P-25? For what, P-25? APC
Lots of TV shows in the 1970 era used KREX TV and KBLA TV as back ground
--showing reporters with mics and TV cameras with the call signs marked on them.

There is some noir movie from the late 40s-early 50s (which I can't remember
the name of) that had a murder in it and a KPIX television truck pulled
up...a 1930s vintage paneled van. I got a good chuckle. I bet the people
at Channel 5 in San Francisco would too.

I have two radio station guides from 1928 and 1929. Neither of them
shows KLVW as being an active call. Of course it may have been issued
after these guides were published. Maybe the movie was promoting the
area's newest radio station!
In 1928 San Francisco had KFRC (610), KFWI (930), KGTT (1420)
Warmest greetings everyone,
Last night, Turner Classic Movies was showing The Maltese Falcon (the
original with Bogart) which I've only seen at least 10 times, hi.
There is one scene in Sam Spade's office at night and looking out the
window, there are various lit signs for several hotels, stor
