I installed a PRO-1B about one year ago.  I can not compare it to any other 
loop, but can compare it to a high end active whip antenna I have.  On MW BCB 
it almost always outperforms the whip by providing a lower noise signal.  By 
noise I am referring to local man-made QRM sources.  It is also very 
directional.  You need to plan on installing a rotator.  For me, it has made MW 
BCB sound like it did in the '60's when the band was not filled with noise 
sources.  It has some other features that are advantageous, but your question 
seems to be regarding MW BCB, so I'll leave my reply focused there.
