I wonder if this software do a better job than the others in the past
that have provided the possibility of phasing using the AFE822 dual
channel SDR?

taking advantage of the Afedri's AFE822 dual channel SDR has been announced
by Chris Smolinski over at the HF Underground. A-B audio samples are also
provided made using a beta version of the SdrDX software used to phase the
