After many dreary sunrise sessions I decided to investigate predawn Asian
propagation during the bizarre hours of 1100-1300 UTC. As Nick observed
yesterday the TP's did indeed sound far more healthy during this inconvenient
period, with several big guns even sounding pretty big.

Yesterday's interesting Asian propagation was long gone this morning as the
latest solar tantrum took effect. 594-JOAK was the sole big gun able to manage
weak audio here (around 1430), while all of the other Japanese and Korean
powerhouses stayed at weak carrier level. Even the usual consolatio

Kahungunu and 828-Radio Trackside sound like local pests.

Hello All,
The Asians seem to have been hit hard by the latest solar tantrum, resulting in
(what else?) another clunker session. 1566-HLAZ was the only TP to manage weak
audio around 1430, and it didn't stick around for long. 972, 1053 and 1593 also
had weak to moderate carriers from 1415-14
Hello All,
Finally facing the reality of eroding Asian propagation during the
west coast sunrise period, a decision was made to check out TP signal
strength during the Asian sunset period (0930-1100 UTC). Based on the TP-DXing
results of the past three seasons here, this early morni
