What seemed like a routine session this morning turned somewhat wacky when
657-Pyongyang's bizarre programming started pounding in with ocean coast
strength around 1323, peaking with thunderous martial music and 3 + 1 pips at
1330 (its strongest signal here in six years). The low band in

unlike Dennis' second tier Japanese stations, the big performer here was
657-Pyongyang. It pounded in with ocean coast strength at various times during
sunrise enhancement here, especially with its 3 + 1 pips at the North
Once again it was a potent session for the Japanese big guns but without very
much variety in anything else. Besides the NHK flamethrowers there were good
signals in and out from the usually strong 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ, but anything
else outside of Japan had to go against the trend.
