Didn't have the mod done. Thought about it but ended up selling the 2010. Overall I'm partial to Grundig and Eton products. Also I hated the tinny sound. Don't get me wrong it is a great radio. I would love to do a side by side with Eton E1. IMHO the E1 is very close to the Drake R8A. K
