I think you're right, 909 MW is Radio 5 Live, from UK (I live here), and it's a bane on the low HF if not attnuated a bit because here, it's very strong. If you get 198 LW, Radio 4, you might get our shipping forecasts, they have a cult following... I don't know what receiver you're using, but

I think they faded early tonight, yea? I am using Ham Radio deluxe with my ICOM 703 (which is a pretty sweet receiver on all bands...) Is a cinch to remote it anywhere - all you need is the broadband -- I think it is also possible to connect it over a phone line - but that is majorly old school

Conditions here improved dramatically last night for trans-Atlantic dx as some of UK, France, North Africa and Spain (at nearly every split) stations were in. Middle-East however with the exception of the 1521 Saudi, wasn't making it at the time of my dx sessions. See my logs here:
