A better than usual evening for TAs here... many of the usual suspects have
good signals (e.g., Algeria on 531/549, UK on 693/882/909/1089/1215, France
on 603/864/711/1377, Holland on 675/747, Spain 684/774, etc.), but also some
less common stuff. Just noted some audio from Benin-1566, and prev

Still pretty dead out on the west coast Jim.Not even imaginary
carriers for the most part (675 was a wispy carrier around 0200 though).

Some strong signals on the lower band at 2200 est tonight, and I haven't
checked all the way to the top yet.
Audio on 549, 558, 576 (RNE5), 585, 594, 603, 621, 639, 657 (not RNE5,
probably Italy), 684, 693, 756, 765, 774, 783, 837, 855, 882, 909.
Had some very strong TA hets at sunset, audio on many channels, quality
varying significamntly, but faded somewhat soon after. French on 702, not
sure who; 711.7 with Arabic and vocal music / prayers, others, especially at
low end of band and longwave. One of the better nights I've seen.

Currently hearing audio from Radio Farda on 1575, and VOA on 1539,
both for the first time this season. Snippets of audio on 1215, 1413
and 1458 also. Might be a night for you guys on the coast to have a listen.

Lots of moderate hets, some producing audio, as of sunset tonight, at Burnt
River ON. Nothing new yet noted but if I can make some sense out of the weak
audio on some channels I may add to the logbook ...
Must be thunderstorms about - lots of storm static noises. If it localizes I
may have to

Another one of those TA mini-enhancements last night that seem to happen when
the solar indices kick up. This was between 0400 and 0530 UTC - many of the
usual suspects in Spain/France/UK/Holland had some audio, plus Italy sneaked
in on 567. What was more interesting was getting audio on less
The only TA noted here around 0400 was Croatia 1134. It was weak to

Been spending time tonight getting reports out to WHKW and KDDR.

A frustrating evening for TAs, though much better than has been heard recently.
There was no audio much past the mumble level, there was a reasonable number
of those at one time or another:
675, 747, 756, 783, 855, 1134, 1215 and 1575
783 is the only channel that I don't have a good suspicio
A rather odd evening. Had some audio from the regulars when I first got
home around 0100 UTC, but then things faded. Now, I'm hearing only
carriers, with one exception - that being Iran in Russian on 702,
certainly not what I would normally expect.

Did things peak then, Walt? (half hour before local sunset?)At 01
As others have reported from central and eastern NA, the TAs are coming in. At
00:35 UTC (4:35 pm local), I'm hearing Absolute Radio on 1215 at a good level
at times, and also Farda on 1575. KOMO 1000 has a loud het from 999, and most
other channels 1 kHz from a North American also have audibl

Well, reception is about to get better on 684, 693, 936, and 945!
Three of the four have a very dominant TA station, but 936 should be
particularly interesting to try.

TA's are in Northern Alberta most afternoons starting an hour or so before
